The Liqui-Flow series of mass meters and controllers for low flow rates is available in compact, rugged design according IP65 and ATEX approved for use in Category 3, Zone 2 hazardous areas. The instruments cover flow rates from 0.25g/h to 1kg/h and can be used in applicationswith pipeline pressures up to 100 bar. The stainless steel sensor hasnegligible internal volume and no moving parts. Calibration can be performed for virtually every liquid and up to 8 calibration curves can be stored onboard the instrument. The digital instruments feature fastresponse (< 2 seconds) and high accuracy (1% FS or better). They haveanalog I/O-signals and an RS232 connection as a standard feature. There is the possibility of integrating an interface board with DeviceNet,Profibus-DP, Modbus or FLOW-BUS protocol. The basic pc-board incorporates PID control and various alarm and diagnostic functions. Applications can be found in process control systems as for example in food, chemical and petrochemical plants.
