The rod-shaped standard sensor PM15PS comes with a sub-D jack. It is part of a series of Plug-and-Measure transmitters
offered with a digital R232 output. The sensor is suitable for both integration into systems and for local applications, e.g. monitoring measurement data from a laptop. For simple monitoring applications, the measurement data sent from the transmitter by ASCII protocol can be read directly usingthe HyperTerminal (part of the Windows OS). As an alternative to that,the software Visual PMU is offered as a freeware-download. With it both data logger and data export functions are available and the relative humidity, dew point and temperature can be displayed. The Plug-and-Measure series was developed to optimise the calibration of componentsthat is often necessary on a regular basis in production systems. Thetransmitters in this product series are equipped with so-called Plug-and-Measure Units (PMU). These factory calibrated sensor heads can be easily exchanged when calibration or servicing is required.
