The Uniflex SG 45 transmitter is a compact (22.5mm wide) unit that measures the signals from directly connected strain-gauge bridge sensorswith a high 23-bit resolution. The sensor bridge is energized by the unit, there is no need for an external supply. For industrial weighingapplications, up to four load cells can be connected. When connectinga pressure sensor, e.g. for melt pressure measrement in a plastic extruder, the integrated switch contact for the 80% calibration proves tobe an important and practical feature of this universal transmitter for strain-gauge input. Apart from signal evaluation via the inter-module communication in the top-hat DIN rail (to Modbus RTU or the rail line field bus coupler), it has a 14-bit universal analog output with parallel standard current and voltage signals, plus two limit monitoringrelays. It offers a very fast response time of 50ms cycle time and thanks to the standard galvanic isolation it provides reliable decouplingof electrical signals for subsequent analog and digital processing.
