The Fluke 771 Milliamp Process Clamp Meter measures 4-20mA output signals from transmitters in process and industrial control system applications without breaking the current loop. Offering increased productivity for process and plant maintenance technicians and commercial electricians, the device delivers 0.2% accuracy with resolution and sensitivity to 0.01mA for testing and troubleshooting PLC and control system analogue I/Os. It is designed for use in environments where it is impractical to shut down processes, or put systems into safe mode, in orderto break the loop and place a meter in series with the circuit. The detachable clamp can be used docked, or detached via its extension cable, to facilitate measurement in tight spaces. A measurement spotlightilluminates wires in dark enclosures, and automatic battery saving features. The dual backlit display shows both mA measurement and percentage of 4-20mA span, and a Hold function to capture and display changingmeasurements. Users can also measure 10-50mA signals in older systemsusing the 99.9mA range.
