The CPV10 Ex-i, is an intrinsically safe valve terminal designed for use in potentially explosive atmospheres, in accordance with ATEX equipment category 2 (Gas Zone 1). It can be mounted in close proximityto the pneumatic actuators and drives that it controls, resulting inshort tubing lengths, which are essential for efficient short cycle time operation and is suitable for automation systems that employ decentralised control schemes. The valve terminal can accommodate up to sixteen 3/2-way valves, and offers a variety of valve functions, includingtwo 3/2-way, 5/2-way, single/double solenoid, and two 2/2-way. The valves feature intrinsically safe solenoid actuators to ensure that onlylow voltages and energy levels can occur; they are rated for 0 to 10bar operating pressure and can handle flow rates up to 400l/min. The pneumatic multi-plate connector simplifies installation in IP65-rated control cabinets; it enables all pneumatic connections to be made via asingle multi-way plate with its own sealing ring which requires only one rectangular cut-out in the cabinet.
