The SmarT is a versatile weighing instrument for dosing, filling, mass flow control, belt weighing, etc. It is supplied with a range of communications options and a copy of the intuitive PC software ‘Pi’, which allows to assemble the process on a PC by using the interactive helpfacility without the need for complex sequence programming. Thesoftware modules and macros guide the user through positive and negative dosing, timer functions and interlocks, with or without in-flight control. It also provides calculation functions and designs for printouts sothat only the required weights and timings need to be enter in the formulas or filling instructions. The controller is capable of 1000 conversions/S with a choice of either 8 inputs and outputs, or 8 inputs and4 outputs plus one analogue 4-20mA output. Various digital communications gates are available including Profibus DP. The compact controlleris housed in a 150x78x210mm enclosure with an IP65-rated watertight control panel. SmarT is certified to meet O.I.M.L recommendations R51 and R61 in accordance with the European directive M.I.D for measuring instrumentation.
