The Echotel 961 liquid level switch offers a stainless steel sensor that handles process temperatures from –80 to 165°C. The switch utilizespulsed ultrasound technology to detect the presence or absence of liquid. This makes it less sensitive to buildup, aeration, foam, and turbulence. The sensor typically has a response time of <0,5s. With a SFFof >90%, it can be integrated in SIL 1,2 and 3 loops. The Echotel 962dual-point unit offers two selectable switch points on the same sensor. The features of the 961/962 include adjustable time delay, on-demandtest buttons for the output signal, LED indication for alarm status,reliability condition, etc. They are designed for use in ATEX intrinsically and exlosion proof areas as well as CIP/SIP clean environments.The construction conforms to the Pressure Equipment Directive. It is not sensitive to changing density or other liquid variables and does not require any calibration. The units can be used on almost every liquid with a max. viscosity of 10.000 cP, pressures from full vacuum service up to 138 bar. The 961/962 is available with relay or current shiftoutput.
