The Marathon MM 3M infrared thermometer measures low-to-medium temperatures (100 to 600°C) with accuracy regardless of changing emissivity.This sensor is designed to meet temperature measurement challenges inthe metals processing industry. It utilizes shorter infrared wavelengths (2.3 µm) in order to minimize errors due to the uncertainty of emissivity—an object's ability to emit infrared energy. The thermometer isnot as sensitive to changes in emissivity on the target material as long wavelength sensors, and provides more accurate readings across varying targets, at varying temperatures. The precision variable focus optics allows the sensor to be accurately focused with just a touch, while the sealed IP65 user interface guarantees the integrity of the electronics. It provides enhanced continuous remote temperature monitoring, ease of installation and sighting, video surveillance and documentation, remote PC interface, flexible configuration, and field calibration software.
