The screw compressors series VMX are delivered as components to manufacturers of air compressors. It offers admissible differential pressures of up to 15bar (single stage), in vacuum operation single-stage intake pressures up to 0,1 bar abs. were achieved. The unit is driven directly or via belt drive, all the compressor stages are suitable for frequency converter operation. In the higher capacity range two gearbox versions with as standard 4 possible ratios were developed, deliveringvolume flows from 690 up to 3.200m³/h or drive capacities from 75 up to 355kW. The gearbox machines were designed for especially robust applications and offer a flexible direction of rotation. The series features an adaptation of the screw profiles with larger diameters for slower running. With a drive of 22kW and differential pressure of 10bar thecompressor requires just 3.450rpm. This allows for a longer lifetimeof the bearings, reducing the Life-Cycle-Costs. The low sound level minimizes the costs for acoustic hoods and silencers.
