The laboratory water purification system Elix Clinical removes alkaline phosphatase (ALP) from purified water. By using the system with a BioPak final filter, clinical chemists and analyzer operators can obtainhigher levels of performance for immunoassays. This ultrafiltration method stabilizes baselines and reduces the frequency of calibrations. For the clinical chemist, this increases efficiency and reduces downtime. For the medical technologist, this decreases sanitization costs that generate more stabilized assay results. The system’s design combinesprefiltration, softening, reverse osmosis (RO), electrodeionization (EDI), polishing and micro-filtration in one package. By providing TypeII and Type I water in a single unit, users now can feed analyzers reliably with pure water. It produce water at flow rates of 35 and 70 l/h. The disposable filtration cartridge dispenses ultrapure water for up to three months without a loss of flow rate.
