The DuraTrans M12 isolator/converter enables distributed automation concepts without switching cabinets. The units incorporate the two corefunctions of analog signal processing (galvanic isolation and signal conversion) in one component, thus making distributed automation concepts technically and economically attractive. DuraTrans allows for quickand easy setup: the isolator is simply fitted into the cable via a screwable M12 connector or attached to the sensor-actuator interface. Pre-configured connectors prevent wiring errors. Installation requires neither specialized staff nor special tools. The fully encapsulated IP68 housing makes additional enclosures obsolete. It is suitable for wet, dirty or dusty environments and mounting on machines and measures just 83x36x14 mmThe devices enable three port isolation and provide SafeIsolation in accordance with EN 61140. The test voltage is 1,500 V AC, which ensures excellent protection of personnel and equipment. The units have a gain error of less than 0.2%. Eight models with fixed input and output ranges (0...20mA, 4...20mA or 0...10V) are available to suit signal conversion requirements in different applications.
