Copa-Data releases its latest SCADA System, combining reliable, redundant operation with features such as linked-object editing to meet thedemands of modern manufacturing. This SCADA system has evolved through40,000 projects currently installed in the field. Machine builders and system integrators need to provide flexible SCADA systems with minimal configuration requirements and powerful design tools - consideringthat downtime to set up software systems between batches is often unacceptable to manufacturers. The company says that close relationshipswith customers such as BMW, Audi and Festo have helped it develop thefully-featured zenOn 6.2 SCADA system. Copa-Data believes that manufacturers are shifting from mass production to “mass customisation” wherecompanies produce a greater variety of products built to customers’ specifications. This requires more flexibility whilst maintaining optimum quality and throughput for the production, assembly, and packagingof manufactured goods.
