CitectFacilities is providing the Kremlin, Moscow, with an environmental monitoring and control system that provides visualisation of several key buildings on the site to a central operating station. The systemhas improved energy management and reduced the maintenance load on operators, says Citect, resulting in substantial cost savings in preserving architectural and historical Russian treasures. "CitectFacilitieswas chosen to provide the climate control system for the Uspenskaya Church bell tower, Ivan the Great Church, and the museum office due to its open architecture and reliability" says Igor Sergeev, chief engineer of the Kremlin museum. The system has the ability to be expanded ata later stage integrating other monitoring and control systems.
