The drive and control company has combined hydraulics, electrics, digital closed-loop control technology and mechanics in efficient assemblies, which are managing complex motion tasks in machine tools. The modules, which come ready for connection on request, are claimed to reduce design and commissioning effort. With the new modules, which are based on standard components from all technology areas, Rexroth is accelerating the trend towards function integration. Reduction in the number of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic interfaces is in the foreground here. The comprehensive portfolio of electrohydraulic linear axesfrom Rexroth forms the heart of the function groups. Intelligent drives with their own NC functionality communicate with the machine controlvia a field bus. They are optimised to suit the specific physical characteristics of hydraulics thanks to efficient hydraulic controller structures and NC commands that are tailored to hydraulic requirements.In this way, the drive physics and functionality are uncoupled. The operator can use both, external control electronics of the HNC100 family or the new controllers of the IAC series that are integrated in thevalve. Rexroth interlinks these intelligent drives with components ofother technologies to form complete, application-specific function modules. The open sequence control Rexroth Indralogic can assume the speed control of a fixed displacement pump and reduce the power consumption. Integrated position measuring systems improve the modularity, and the customer receives complete, pre-tested units. The use of the new generation of HNC100 controllers further increases the degrees of freedom due to multi-axis capability. The functionality of the HNC100 comprises synchronism for up to four axes, further improved curve functionalities as well as extended diagnosis options. Established PC operator tools that are optimised to cover the extended scope of functions simplify commissioning and diagnosis.
