The Powerdrive variable speed drive combines rectifier, inverter and cooling modules. The modules are assembled on a chassis or in standardcabinets.
Numerous configurations are possible: 6-pulse, multi-output 6-pulse, 12-pulse, regenerative or DC bus solution. The drive is compact, a 355kW drive is just 600x600x2160mm. The protection class forthe cabinet-mounted version is IP21, IP54 is available with the samedimension. Setup is executed through the keypad on the front panel orthe PowerSoft program which also offers a parameter-setting wizard. Asecure disable input conforming to EN 954-1 category 3 can save on theline contactor. Several control modes are possible for asynchronous,synchronous magnet and HPM motors. The drive features a preventive self-test on start-up and diagnostics after an emergency shutdown. The add-on fieldbus modules can be used to adapt the drive to all control/monitoring systems. An internal communication interface module can generate alert or information messages for remote maintenance/remote monitoring of machines.
