The TSM Width Control System combines the Layflat and Ultrasonic control and is designed for the stretch film industry. It computes the width to the nearest 0.1mm. A control action is initiated via the air correction unit, via a fixed air supply or radio control link. The systemis suited for stretch film lines, where layflat is smaller than the bubble measurement value. The system maintains the set film widths and chosen tolerance ranges at minimum levels. Furthermore it offers the customer a complete package that reduces waste during start up, preventswidth fluctuations caused by temperature changes and is readily expandable and upgradeable. In combination with the short start up and change over periods the system allows for substantial savings. It is suitable for all blown film line configurations of up to 10 meters diameter. Optional protocols are RS232/485, MODBUS and TSM protocol. Further options include remote width readout module, radio control compressor unit for fully rotating dies and standard serial/parallel printer link.
