The R58 Expert registration mark sensor assures optimum contrast in each application by automatically selecting among three built-in LEDs. The sensor provides a flexible solution for a wide range of printing and packaging OEM systems. It offers 10KHz switching frequency and 50 microsecond response time, to support high speed applications. Its onboard microprocessor determines whether the red, green or blue LED will yield the best performance and its contrast sensitivity detects 16 levels of gray scale. The sensor’s zinc alloy housing and acrylic lens meet IP67 and NEMA6 standards for use in hostile environments. Universalmounting holes are provided. Models are available with either parallelor perpendicular sensing images to accommodate all system configurations. Push-button controls are easy to set and include static and dynamic programming plus manual fine tuning adjustment. Typical applications include web registration, tube filling, form-fill-seal packaging andmaterial cut registration.
