Turner Grain Engineering, Ireland offers custom-built feed mills,designed and manufactured for the production of animal feed products.They chose to incorporate Nemo progressive cavity pumps with capacities ranging from 0.3 to 3.8 m3/hr.
The Netzsch Progressing Cavity Pumps were chosen for their ability to cope with products having viscosities between 100 and 2000 centipoise. These included hot vegetableoils, palm oils and molasses, selectively added to sweeten or increase the nutritional value of feed stocks. In addition, the low-shear features of these pumps were ideal for handling shear-sensitive productsbeing incorporated into the feed mixes. Since flow control was also aspecific requirement, the pumps were supplied suitable for operation with inverters.
Various sizes of pumps have been supplied, all being the Nemo BY models. These are compact block construction designsequipped with L type rotor/stator geometries. They are ideally suitedto wide ranging industrial applications including the environmental, food and chemical industries. They can handle from low to highly viscous fluids, with or without entrained solids, including abrasive, aggressive and even toxic mediums.
Nemo Pumps can be supplied with capacities ranging from 0.1 l/hr up to 500m3/h, in a wide range of drivecombinations with four optional and interchangeable rotor/stator combinations to provide the level of pumping performance required. A pumpwith crevice-free wetted components and high dosing accuracy can alsobe supplied for hygienic applications.
