The compact SafeCIS3 controller fulfills safety category 4 in accordance with EN 954 and SIL3 in accordance with EN 61508, and is qualifiedfor applications requiring the highest safety certifications. The controller is designed to be coupled with the category 4 safety light curtain Safe400. The small controller and light curtain combination enables machine safeguarding even in applications where space is limited. Using an optical interface, the controller can be adjusted for the necessary safety and control requirements like EDM (External Device Monitoring) monitoring, muting or stroke function. Other safety components can be connected and monitored, such as an emergency stop button. The controller comes with PNP outputs as standard. If the application demands the use of a relay, this can be connected as a module and monitoredthrough the EDM inputs . Diverse relay or bus extension modules enablea direct integration into the most varying types of safety control.
