The ITS-TC is a new thermocouple-based temperature measurement systemthat works on a USB 2.0 bus, which supplies power. The system offers abetter absolute accuracy than any of the conventional temperature measuring systems based on the Seebeck effect. Even more precise measurements are possible at lower temperatures. The sampling rate can be adjusted from 2 Hz to 10 kHz. This makes it possible to detect and recordeven rapidly changing temperatures. EMF measurements are carried out with internal compensation of the reference temperature. Each thermocouple has its own assigned address which allows the simultaneous operation of up to 128 units per PC or laptop.The software enables the user to carry out single or continuous measurements with averaging and datacompression. It has an integrated logger function to evaluate data based on all common programmes, e.g. Excel or MathCAD.
