Honeywell Wins $6.5 Million Lifestyle Management Contract

Lyondell Chemie Nederland BV
Honeywell announced that it has received an eight-year, $6.5 million Lifecycle Management contract from Lyondell Chemie Nederland BV

Lifecycle Management is a multi-year support agreement that offers flexibility in how process manufacturersmanage their plant assets. The Lifestyle Management Contract allows customers to choose when to modernise, what to invest in, how to fund the transition, and how long they want to protect their investment.

This is Honeywell’s first LCM contract in Europe. Under the terms of the agreement, Honeywell will provide LCM technology support and migrate the company’s existing Honeywell TDC3000 system to the newer Experion Process Knowledge System. Honeywell states that the plant modernisation project is designed to improve its production and optimise itsoperational efficiency.

Honeywell Experion PKS is a single process automation system for process, business and asset management. Honeywell says it can improve business performance by collecting and integrating process and business data across the entire enterprise and bymaking process knowledge available where and when it is needed. Honeywell also states that due to the easy access to all system device and process data, operators will now be better equipped to make the right business decisions quickly.

Experion PKS functions with previous Honeywell systems as well as non-Honeywell systems. Honeywell says that this will allow process manufacturers to protect their original investments while evolving to the latest technologies.
