Compel Electronics has extended its range of coaxial components with aseries of press-in connectors. Advantages of the press-in assembly technique with respect to the traditional flanged connector or bulkheadassembly include: assembly space reduction; cost optimisation; reducedassembly time of the RF modules. Also the press-in connector is inserted in a single step quick operation and using a simple insertion tool; there is ground and RF circuitry contact; no floating of the connector on the module case and, therefore, optimum centring of the contactpin onto the RF circuit.
