UPM, a producer of printing papers, is purchasing more Lorentzen & Wettre (L&W) Autoline systems. With its most recent purchase of three systems (at the UPM Docelles papermill in France, the UPM Schwedt paper mill in Germany, and UPM's research centre in Finland) the client now has a total of seven L&W Autoline 300 systems throughout the world. TheAutoline 300 is an automated paper testing system designed to ensure that all reels can be examined at multiple points across the web, in ashort time. Operators report that L&W Autoline 300 is an "essential tool" for the production department's optimisation of the paper machines.
