Balancing Machines

with emergency stops

The Hofmann Vertical-Balancing Machine SVW is a development program that enables Enidine's one-shot emergency stops. The balancing machinesmeasure at first the unbalance of work pieces - for example on flywheels - and then they provide compensation by drilling, milling, welding,or riveting. Within this system, it is necessary to control possibleimpact damage due to unpredicted emergencies in order to prevent unnecessary downtime. Hofmann balancing machines incorporate four Enidine one-shot emergency stops designed to provide cost-effective energy absorption in critical emergency applications. They consist of a lightweight inner metal core, surrounded by a corrosion-resistant polymer. Thisallows high damping of a range of loads and velocities under extremeconditions. Unlike conventional hydraulic dampers, these one-shot emergency stops can be used only one time. Once impacted, the product is discarded and easily replaced. Enidine's emergency stops provide greater energy absorption than conventional rubber bumpers or springs, and with no rebound, making it a reliable solution for emergency stop requirements.
