The DEHNbloc Maxi family of lightning current arresters are single-pole devices suited to use in harsh industrial environments. These new protection devices are compatible with Dehn's existing surge arresters,and offer a flexible surge-protection solution independent of cable length and without the need for additional decoupling coils. The devicesuse Dehn's patented technologies of encapsulated creepage discharge spark gaps for extra protection and Radax-Flow for a high follow current limitation. As a result, there is no need for installers to worry about safety distances from busbars or equipment. This arrangement alsoeliminates the risk of tripped backup fuses resulting from the lack ofselectivity between the protective device and any overcurrent protection systems that may be in place, resulting in the highest possible system availability.
