The METALARM Bridge Search Coil featuring swing-away top coil and fitted with the METALARM 3500 QM2 Control Unit can be utilised where highsensitivity is not critical, but where a relatively low cost, robust metal detection solution is sought. It is recommended for use where burden heights are variable and on belt widths over 1.2 metres. This search coil has particular advantages wherever there is a risk of damage to the top coil by high burdens. This is because it is manufactured inhigh density polyethylene and lined with a stainless steel angle to protect the search coil from impact. It incorporates pulse induction technology meaning it is lower in cost, not prone to “product effect” andis easier to install due to the search coils being custom built to suit the conveyor on which they are to be mounted.
